God is doing some big things in Children’s Ministry here at Southern Hills.  Children and their families are vital members of our congregation.  We want to create an environment where children are growing in their relationship with Jesus; at the same time, we want to come alongside parents to empower them as they disciple their children. We offer ministry opportunities for children ages birth-5th grade all year round

Nursery:  Nursery care is available for all infants through 3-year-olds.  Join us in the daycare space by Herren Hall.

            Sunday School: 9:30-10:25am

            Worship: 10:45am

Pre-K – 5th:  Join us in the Sunday school room on the 2nd floor

            Sunday School: 9:30-10:25am

            Worship: 8:30 and 10:45am

Children’s Church: After the children’s moment, 4-year-olds through rising sixth graders may attend children’s church in our children’s chapel.  Children will learn the same scripture featured in the main service, delivered in a child-friendly way.  They will receive a blessing at the end of our time together.  Parents can pick up their children from the children’s chapel immediately following services

Wee Worship Space:  An intentional space in the alcove so that our youngest members (0-5 years old) and their families may be fully included in worship throughout the service.

Activity Carts: There are worship activity bags, clipboards, and worship rings that will help our children participate fully in worship. These are located at the entrances to the sanctuary. Please return all items back to the carts. 

W.O.W (Word on Wednesday): We are walking through The New City Catechism, learning and answering 52 questions that speak the truth about God and our faith.

Dinner at 5:30 pm in Herren Hall

Class at 6:15 pm in the Children’s Worship Space

If you have not yet, please complete the family information form for this year here. This will help with our new electronic check-in. Parents, you will now check in both nursery and lesson-age kids on the computer located at the end of the hall outside the children’s worship space (near the choir room). There will be a tag for each child and a pick-up tag for parents. We are excited to be able to grow and restart our electronic check-in and check-out system!!!!
