We are so excited about what God is doing in Children’s Ministry here at Southern Hills! We know that children are the church of today, and so we want to create an environment that is fun and dynamic, but most of all, we want to create an environment where the gospel of Jesus is preached and lived out.

Our Mission Statement

Growing fully devoted followers of Christ in an environment that displays the excitement and joy of the gospel.

All of our Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.

Elementary-age kids are naturally curious and wired for discovery. As a church, we have the opportunity to show our children God’s Big Story and help them discover the active part they can play in this life-long adventure. Every Sunday morning, our elementary students are engaged in a lively, exciting portion of the "Big God Story" where we appeal to as many different styles of learning as possible. Gifted teachers and small group leaders invest in the the lives of our children by interacting with them in conversation and activity.

How old were you before you thought about God? When was the first time you heard that God loved you? We want our Pre-K and Kindergarten students (ages 4-5) to never live a day without believing that God cares for them. Our passionate teachers lead children as they explore each week’s Bible theme by touching, talking, watching and doing.

As a toddler, the world is bursting with newness. Each day is filled with one new discovery after another. In our nursery, volunteers are given the unique opportunity to use engaging activities to help pre-school children (ages birth to three) discover who God is. Our nursery is more than just changing diapers or providing childcare; it is about giving children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of his love for each one of them.
